The Journey

In 2008 Naomi began her journey as an award-winning apprentice - leading her to receive even more accolades along the way. Known as the student who took risks, stepped outside the box and challenged traditional floral design techniques.

"From my earliest memories, I have had a knack for recognizing and appreciating colours and textures. Decorating for parties has been a beloved pastime of mine for as long as I can remember. I had a deep interest in and appreciation for art throughout my school years, which led me to pursue a Diploma in Visual Merchandising and styling from RMIT. When a friend asked me to arrange flowers for her 60th birthday, I discovered my true calling in floral design.

After completing my apprenticeship as a florist in Brighton, I was fortunate enough to gain experience in a variety of boutique flower shops. I eventually decided to take the plunge and create my own business, specializing in events and weddings, right from the comfort of my own garage. Establishing the business in 2014.

I'm constantly looking for ways to break the mould with my art and create visuals that will really stand out. I'm particularly passionate about using floral art as my medium, and I'm always experimenting with different techniques and approaches to keep my work fresh, interesting and where possible sustainable. I'm continuously pushing my own boundaries and exploring new methods to make sure that I'm always inspired, ensuring I never repeat the same aesthetic.

Moving into a factory space in Carrum Downs I expanded my business and worked for many years from there. Now I create the magic from my studio space at The Bayside Wedding Collective in Braeside, Melbourne, with a few freelance talents helping with the larger jobs.

I absolutely adore the way that natural elements and the special, individual touches of each customer come together to create the perfect flower arrangement for their special occasion. It is truly a unique and magical connection.

When I’m not designing floral arrangements, I value the time I get to spend with my husband James, daughter Zara and fur baby Gus, go to Pilates classes and enjoy a latté or cheeky cocktail with friends.”
